Other ways to install (native Mac & Windows installers)
“Malware” or “unidentified developer” warning? That's expected
The native installers aren't signed with a paid Apple or Microsoft certificate. The one-click install above avoids this entirely.
macOS
- 1. Right-click the .pkg → Open → Open again.
- 2. Still blocked? System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.
- 3. On macOS 15+ you may need Terminal:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine ~/Downloads/Revyve-Pricing-Tool-mac-apple-silicon.pkg
Windows
- 1. If the browser blocks the download: Keep → Keep anyway.
- 2. Right-click the .exe → Properties → tick Unblock → OK.
- 3. On SmartScreen click More info → Run anyway.
Automatic updates
The desktop app checks for new releases when it opens and every 6 hours after that, then installs them itself. You can also use Help → Check for Updates.
Guided install
Checking your computer…
Exact steps for your system and this download type. Change anything below if we got it wrong.
Download the right build
You need the Apple Silicon installer. Apple menu → About This Mac confirms it: a Chip line starting with “Apple” means Apple Silicon, a Processor line means Intel. The file lands in Downloads as Revyve-Pricing-Tool-mac-apple-silicon.pkg.
Verify your download
Every installer below is published straight from the Revyve build pipeline. Because the builds are not signed with a paid Apple or Microsoft certificate, the checksum is how you confirm the file you received is byte-for-byte the file we published — and that no antivirus quarantine, proxy or partial download altered it.

Open Terminal and run:
shasum -a 256 ~/Downloads/Revyve-Pricing-Tool-mac-apple-silicon.pkgThe 64-character value it prints must match the one above exactly.
Check it on Windows
Open PowerShell and run:
Get-FileHash "$env:USERPROFILE\Downloads\Revyve-Pricing-Tool-Setup.exe" -Algorithm SHA256Compare the Hash column, ignoring upper/lower case.
Signature status: unsigned builds
- • macOS: no Developer ID signature and no Apple notarisation ticket —
spctland Gatekeeper will report the app as from an unidentified developer. - • Windows: no Authenticode signature — file Properties has no Digital Signatures tab and SmartScreen shows “Unknown publisher”.
- • What that means: the operating system cannot vouch for the publisher, so the checksum on this page is the authoritative integrity check. If a hash does not match, do not install it — re-download, and tell the Revyve team.
Signing pipelines for both platforms are already prepared; they switch on as soon as Revyve holds an Apple Developer and a Windows code-signing certificate, and this section will then list real certificate details instead.
What stays the same
- • All pricing logic, tabs and calculators, unchanged
- • Saved data persists between sessions on each machine
- • Printing and PDF export work as before
- • Offline: quotes, Cost in Use and Price Matrix work; sign-in, PDF/Excel export and the market dashboard need a connection
